Your coursework submissions will be visible up until the date of the exam board for the module so you can see when your coursework has been registered as having been received in SAT. You will be given clear instructions on what the extension assignment is called within Blackboard. If you are eligible for a resit you will need to redo both components. Submission by post Where there is a requirement for coursework to be submitted as a hard copy and you submit your coursework by post, you must obtain proof of postage for example, by using Recorded Delivery and note the date and time of postage. Once ready, your mark will be available in your myUWE account but you may find you are showing as a non-submission ‘NS’ until this time. Where coursework is submitted online this will normally be through the Blackboard virtual learning environment. To install on your Android device, download UWEmobile. Wherever possible, you should request an extension as soon as you become aware that you may be unable to meet the original published deadline for an assessment so we can support you. Always allow time in case of technical issues. Please see our Protecting your anonymity guidance for further advice. If your coursework is not received by the deadline, or within 24 hours of that time, you will see a non-submission on your record.
Our Blackboard servers are on UK time. Any submissions within the 24 hour window will be subject to a marks penalty. If coursfwork confirm that you have and your extension request is accepted, any earlier electronic versions you submitted on Blackboard will be automatically removed from the system and will not be marked.
Five working day extensions for coursework – UWE Bristol: Academic advice
You cannot use the five working day extension process if you miss an assessment. You can download up to 24 hours following the deadline itself.

You may submit to the assignment as many times as you wish, but only the last submission you make will be assessed. Component weightings are set out in the module specification. It is advisable to download a coversheet in advance of the deadline in order to avoid any potential problems with access to myUWE.
If you need emergency additional support arrangements, for example as a result of an accident, the University will make every effort to arrange them regardless of when your request is made. All modules have one or two components.
If your evidence is not in English, you may be able to use a local authority translation coudsework such as that provided by Bristol City Council. You are strongly advised to continue to plan to submit by the published deadline.
If your last submission is after the deadline but within the hour late submission period, this submission will be the cokrsework marked and not any earlier versions. All students have a minimum entitlement to assessment feedback on their assessed work. UWEmobile – UWE Bristol
If your application is not accepted you will be expected to submit your work by the original deadline or within the hour window. Email Jump off to staff and student webmail sites. The mark for the component will also be the mark for the whole module. We hope to produce an iPad version soon. The mark penalty will apply.

ALL deadlines for assessments that are not submitted online will be extended by an additional 24 hours due to the potential for losing access to Blackboard materials. You must bring your ID card with you in order to claim your work. To avoid upload problems, it is recommended that you upload very fenchay media files over a wired internet connection rather than wifi. Do not enter text in the Comments text box area, unless specifically frenvhay to do so trenchay your instructor. If it cannot be read and marked, it will be given a mark of zero.
If I’m granted an extension, how do I submit my work? Whilst an application for a five working day extension is under consideration, you should not assume that the extension will be approved.
